How to practise this on tin whistle
Each column is the whistle held out in front of you — the top hole (nearest the mouthpiece) is at the top, and a filled circle means the hole is covered. Feeling the Reel is a Edor study that opens on E. Seal each hole with the pad of the finger, not the tip; a tiny leak drops the note. The second octave uses the very same fingerings blown with faster, narrower air — think cold air, not more air.
This is an ornament study, so play the bare notes cleanly and in time first, then add the cut or roll on top without letting the pulse sag. Keep it slow — well under a comfortable tempo — and let the grader confirm each note is speaking before you bring it up to session speed.
