Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 June 2026
This policy covers the Playsoloist family of instrument apps. Every app is built so the most sensitive thing about you — the sound of you practising — never leaves your device.
Audio
All listening, tuning, transcription, and grading run entirely on your device. No audio recording, microphone data, or transcription is ever uploaded to our servers. Our backend has no audio endpoints at all. Where an instrument is graded by touch (keyboards, pads), the microphone isn't used.
What reaches our servers
- Coach messages — if you use the in-app Coach, the messages you type and a short numeric summary of your latest take (e.g. timing and pitch percentages) are sent to generate a reply, with a random per-install identifier for monthly usage limits. Coach conversations are not used to identify you and are not sold or shared.
- Purchase verification — if you subscribe to Pro, Apple's signed receipt is verified to activate your subscription. It contains transaction details, not your name or payment information.
What we don't do
- No account or email is required to use any Playsoloist app.
- No advertising, no trackers, no third-party analytics SDKs.
- We never sell or share personal data.
Practice data
Your progress, takes, and stats are stored on your device (and your personal iCloud where you enable it). We cannot read them.
Retention & deletion
Server-side data is limited to anonymous usage counters and purchase records, kept while your subscription is active. Email mitsi@playsoloist.com to request deletion.
Children
Playsoloist apps are not directed at children under 13 and collect no personal information from anyone.
