Jianpu writes scale degrees as numbers: 1 is do, 2 re, through 7 ti; 0 is a rest. The header 1=D tells you which concert pitch is 1. That makes the same exercise easy to transpose to another physical dizi key.
01 Set 1 to the key of your dizi
For the home 筒音作5 fingering, XXXOOO is 1 and all closed is low 5. On a D dizi, read the line as 1=D; on a G dizi, 1=G.
02 Read the seven evidenced home fingerings
XXXXXX · XXXXXO · XXXXOO · XXXOOO · XXOOOO · XOOOOO · OXXOOO move through low 5, low 6, low 7, then 1–4. The fourth degree uses the cross fingering OXXOOO; do not replace it with an invented all-open shortcut.
03 Count rhythm before asking the microphone
A plain digit usually carries one beat. Underlines shorten notes; dashes extend them; dots above or below a digit change octave. Clap and speak one complete phrase first, then play it. Honest feedback needs the expected sequence and timing, not one lucky held note.
04 Start with an original four-note phrase
In 4/4, try 1 2 3 2 | 1 2 1 –. Keep one steady pulse, breathe at the bar line, and let unclear takes remain unchecked. This exercise is original; it is not copied from a modern syllabus.
